KASCHINSKE EARLY CHILDHOOD PLAYGROUND

KASCHNISKE EARLY CHILDHOOLD PLAYGROUND DEDICATION

In memory of former kindergarten teacher, June Kaschinske, Peace Lutheran School's new early childhood playground was dedicated on October 24, 2014. Funded with memorials that were donated in Mrs. Kaschinske's memory, the Kashinske family was on hand to take part in the ribbon cutting ceremony as the playground was dedicated in her name. We thank God for the Kaschinske family's generosity, and we praise God that Mrs. Kaschinske is enjoying eternity with Him in heaven. Well done, good and faithful servant!

WELCOME TO PEACE LUTHERAN SCHOOL!

Peace Lutheran School is so much more than simply a great school.  We are a community of families who share the love of Christ through our dynamic, academically excellent school of  nearly 300 Preschool through Grade 8 students.

This year, our ministry theme is Hebrews 12:2, “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith…”  Each day, we explore what it means to have our eyes fixed on Jesus.  Faith is integrated across our academically challenging curriculum as we equip students for this world and for Eternity.

Students receive excellent instruction from highly qualified and dedicated faculty and staff in the areas of Science, Technology, Math, Reading, Writing, Literature, Grammar, Spelling (Language Arts), Social Studies, Art, Physical Education, Music, Spanish, Religion and so much more.  Our 8th grade students graduate and do well going on to our sister school, Valley Lutheran High School, or the other high schools in the Saginaw area.

This year we strengthened our National Lutheran School Accredited educational program by maintaining our academically rich curriculum and implementing the following enhancements:

  • Adding 2.5 hours of instruction each week.

  • HIghlighting our K-8 Science instruction by adopting a "hands-on" and "inquiry learning" based program and dedicating staff to teach departmentalized Science in Grades 3 through 8.

  • Strengthening our Technology curriculum by dramaticall increasing instructional time, dedicating staff to lead our Technology instruction and improving our infrastructurre.

  • Enhancing our art program by adding a full-time teacher to our faculty and significantly increasing dedicated instructional time as well as integrating Art into other areas of the curriculum.

  • Spanish instruction has also expanded both in grade levels (Early Childhood through Grade 8) and in instructional time.

Peace also has a Resource program that has successfully served students with academic needs for several years.  This year, we are in the initial stages of implementing a Resource “Gifted and Talented” program to meet the academic needs of students identified needing additional enrichment and academic challenge.  The Christ-centered faculty and staff of Peace are working very hard to offer the finest quality Christian education program to our students and families as it is our calling to be “disciples making disciples” as we GATHER, GROW and GO with God’s inspired Word.

Don’t just take my word for it, COME AND SEE FOR YOURSELF!  Call the school office at (989)792-2581 if you would like a personal tour of our school and a face-to-face appointment with me, the Early Childhood Director or time with one of our educational professionals.

In Christ’s service,

Mr. Henry G. Pahlkotter, II

Peace Principal
